This is a wonderful 70-year old woman who came to office of Dr. Renee Burke to consult about loose skin on her upper arms. Being that the patient had dealt with this issue for a long time, she felt that her consultation was long overdue and was excited to finally get the opinion of a medical professional. At her consultation, she learned through detailed discussion and looking through the before and after pictures that doing a complete arm lift (brachioplasty) would best suit her goals. Over time, our skin loses its laxity (a.k.a. “tightness”) and this can contribute to an overall lower self-esteem, and a more negative body image. Dr. Burke carefully planned her surgery to make certain that this patient would receive the small arms that she had always desired, and was attentive to all of the patients questions and concerns. Post-operatively the patient suffered very minimal bruising, and completely stopped pain medication after one week. She was thrilled with her results and receives compliments regularly on her beautiful result.
